My current work explores and celebrates the city garden and our urban scenery. The goal is to stylize botanical forms by creating simplified shapes that reflect the organization of a planned city landscape.

Each organic-shaped piece is individually made from slabs of earthenware clay and low fired to cone 04. The glazes are hand mixed and each color is carefully applied with a brush. A wash of red iron oxide gives the piece added depth and dimension.
A paper template indicating the screw/nails positions is included for easy installation.
