New Tile Style

In addition to making more tiles for my current Tile Plaque series, I started making a few new ones like this... It's a bit of a new style of design/carving for me. They are still 4" square and will be mounted on steel/wood but these will have glass fused and slumped into the tiny windows. Stay tuned for more postings and photos of the progress.

Thanks for stopping in for a quick update,

Hey Ang, I think there will actually end up being 4 firings. Whew! bisque and glaze for the clay. a separate firing to make the glass inserts, and another firing to slump the glass into the clay. Hopefully the results will be worth it all.

And Thanks Paul! Now that I've found The Aesthetic Elevator, I'll have to check back in.

Cheers!

Very cool! I hope you'll post the finished pieces so we can see how it all comes together.
